Traveling is awesome

A comprehensive web-based system for travel planning and the automatic generation of travel itineraries. The goal is to simplify the planning process: instead of manually searching for destinations, accommodations, and activities, travelers answer a guided questionnaire and receive a structured itinerary generated by artificial intelligence based on their profile.

The product offers two levels of service. With the free plan, users specify their departure point, destination, dates, number of travelers, places of interest, travel style and type, and lodging preferences. On the premium plan, after payment via Mercado Pago, the process includes the pace of the trip, dining options, and detailed preferences, resulting in more refined itineraries.

From a technical standpoint, the application follows a monorepo architecture with a frontend built using React + TypeScript + Vite and a backend built using Node.js + Express + Prisma, using PostgreSQL as the database. Itinerary generation is handled by a dedicated service that builds dynamic prompts based on user responses and queries OpenAI models. There is also an administrative dashboard to manage users, view generated itineraries, and adjust AI prompts without changing the code.
